Berberis Thunbergii ‘Lutin Rouge’

This compact little Barberry is perfect for adding a splash of colour to rockeries, gravel gardens and mixed shrub borders. Berberis thunbergii ‘Lutin Rouge’ has a neat, upright habit that works well towards the front of the border. New spring growth emerges scarlet and matures to a rich claret colour as summer progresses. This hardy, drought tolerant, deciduous shrub needs virtually no maintenance once established. Perfect for providing a dramatic colour contrast with dark green or purple-leaved plants. Height: 45cm (18″). Spread: 25cm (10″).
