Fruit Tree Duo

Start your own miniature orchard with this pair of superb apple and pear varieties, selected for their reliability, productivity and flavour. What could be better than enjoying fresh homegrown fruit straight from your own tree? This Fruit Tree Duo comprises two bare root plants, one of each of the following varieties:

• Pear ‘Conference’ (Quince A rootstock) – the most popular of all pear varieties, producing long, bell-shaped fruits with firm, juicy flesh that are delicious both raw and cooked. ‘Conference’ does not require a pollination partner to produce fruit. Ultimate height: 3-4m (10-13ft).
• Apple ‘Santana’ (M9 rootstock) – a productive modern cultivar producing medium-sized, deep red dessert apples with a firm, juicy texture and great flavour, with aromatic overtones that have been compared to rose or grapes. This RHS AGM-winner is a hypoallergenic variety that can safely be eaten by 75% of people with apple allergies! Pollination group 3. Ultimate height: up to 2.5m (8ft).

Apple ‘Santana’ is not self-fertile so for best yields ensure that there is another apple tree nearby in the same or an adjacent pollination group.
