Leucothoe Fontanesiana ‘Makijaz’

Leucothoe are known for their colourful foliage, but this one really stands out from the crowd! In spring the new shoots of Leucothoe fontanesiana ‘Makijaz’ emerge in shades of bronze and pink, before maturing to green with fabulous white marbling. The autumn foliage is just as dazzling, turning to burgundy red throughout winter. This mound forming, evergreen shrub is low and bushy – ideally proportioned for a prominent spot in acid borders where its vibrant colours can be best appreciated. Height: 50cm (20″). Spread: 80cm (31″).
